There are three important public meetings next week in Remuera and St Heliers about the proposed upzoning, downzoning and removal of special character area overlays in Remuera.


Two meetings are on Tuesday 9th of September 2025 – the first meeting is to meet the candidates for the Orakei Local Board elections in October, called by the Remuera Residents Association

WHEN: 6.30 pm Tuesday 9th September 2025

WHERE: Grammar Junior Rugby Club/Parnell Cricket Club, Shore Road.

The second meeting is at 7.45 pm called by David Seymour, MP for Epsom and Remuera, to hear residents’ concerns about the proposed planning changes for Remuera.

WHEN: 7.45 pm on Tuesday 9th September

WHERE: The Remuera Club, 27 Ohinerau St, Remuera.

Orakei Local Board candidate Lauren Hawke also called a third public meeting in St Heliers to discuss planning changes made simple: what does this mean for our community?

WHEN: Wednesday 10th September 2025 at 7.30 pm

WHERE: St Heliers Community Centre, 100 St Heliers Bay Road.
