The Remuera tram 44 at MOTAT

Remuera Tram 44 MOTAT

Great visit on the 29th of March 2025 for Remuera Heritage members to MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology). Remuera Heritage adopted the beautiful green Remuera Tram 44.


We got to ride in Tram 44, as well as having tours of the tram barn at Western Springs and storage sites. The tours exceeded our expectations with detailed histories and stories of trams, fire trucks, cars, bicycles and helicopters. Congratulations to Alba and James Duncan from MOTAT, a great team and effort to preserve and make our transport and technology heritage so interesting, informative and accessible. Work is still progressing well on upgrading the tramway between Western Springs and the Zoo.
