The ‘Remuera Round’ has been Digitised

Remuera Heritage has had the ‘Remuera Round’ digitised and Auckland Libraries have made it accessible on Kura, their heritage collections’ website. ‘Remuera Round’ was a local newspaper published weekly in Remuera from 1945 to 1952, and then replaced by the Eastern Times in 1953.

Very few copies of the newspaper have survived – Auckland Libraries holds 28 issues from 1947 and 1948, and the Auckland War Memorial Museum library holds 10 issues from 1946 and 1947. These are the only libraries to hold copies in New Zealand. Only the 28 issues held at Auckland Libraries are on Kura.
