Auckland’s Heritage Counts

The Heritage Counts programme started in 2018. It involves collecting statistics and research on Auckland’s heritage places.

The research aims to raise awareness of the extent and variety of heritage places, and the social and economic benefits they bring.

Auckland Council produce a document summarising this information in October each year.

The purpose of this annual document is to raise awareness of Auckland’s heritage, particularly the economic and social benefits of heritage, through highlighting and understanding key statistics and research each year.
