Auckland Heritage Counts 2025

Launched in 2018, Auckland’s Heritage Counts was the first initiative in New Zealand to systematically gather data and research on the public value of heritage.

Since its inception, a new report has been published each year. The aim of Auckland’s Heritage Counts is to showcase the extent and variety of Auckland’s heritage as well as the social, economic and environmental benefits Aucklanders gain from engagement with Auckland’s heritage places.
